Create or Make Your Design

If you're interested in starting your own tumbler business, the first step is to create or make your design. There are numerous places where you can get designs, such as Etsy or membership sites like mine,  Bailey Tumbler Designs. In the past I sold many types of designs, along with personalized styles; however, these days I just focus on a few specific designs, and receive around 10 to 15 orders per day across the various platforms I sell on: Etsy, Shopify, and TikTok Shop.

Print the Design

Once you have your design picked out, the next step is to print it. I use the SawGrass 1000, which has its own print manager. However, there are more affordable printers available that you can convert to sublimation printers as long as they are eco tank printers. I do recommend the SawGrass because it prints designs in just a few seconds and can print hundreds per day if needed or running a small business

Wrap and Tape Your Tumbler

After printing the design, it's time to wrap and tape your tumbler. I get my tumblers from Besin Tumblers, which she loves because they have a straight bottom and two locations in the US for quick shipping. When wrapping the tumbler, make sure to trim off any white parts around your design and wrap it tightly with tape.

Press the Tumbler

Once the tumbler is wrapped and taped, it's ready to be pressed. I have the new Go2Craft automatic heat press, which adjusts to popular sizes of cups automatically. This heat press also adjusts to the correct temperature and rotates the cup for you. After preheating the heat press, simply put the tumbler in and press the button for the size of tumbler you're pressing. The heat press will start automatically and rotate when it's ready.

Package and Ship the Tumbler

Once the tumbler is pressed and cooled down, it's time to package and ship it. Wipe down any fingerprints on the tumbler and put it back in the box it came in. Add a sticker to the top of the box and place it in the shipping box. To label the package, use a thermal label printer and attach the label to the box. Finally, either schedule a pickup or make a run to the post office to ship the tumbler.

Conclusion

In conclusion, making, packing, and shipping tumblers from home can be a profitable and efficient business. With the right equipment and supplies, like a sublimation printer and an automatic heat press, you can fill orders quickly and easily. In the past few years, I have been able to sell thousands of tumblers on platforms like Etsy, Shopify, and Tik Tok Shop. By following the steps outlined in this blog post, you can get started on your own tumbler business journey.

Starting a tumbler business from home can be a great way to earn extra income. With just a few hours of work per week, you can make a substantial profit. For example, I average around $13 profit per tumbler and earn about $6,000 per month.
