I’ve sold a few things on Etsy in the past few years. :) From handmade products to print-on-demand and digital products, I’ve pretty much seen and done it all, and these are my top favorite digital product audiences to sell to on Etsy!
Sublimation Crafters are individuals who transfer images or text onto various products like t-shirts, tumblers, hats, aprons, and more. This audience is highly versatile and allows for endless possibilities with design options. By investing in a special printer and ink, crafty individuals can create their own unique designs or purchase them online to transfer onto different items. Sublimation products cater to a wide range of holidays, seasonal items, themes and niches, making it a lucrative market for Etsy sellers.
SVG Crafters use special machines to transfer digital files, specifically SVG files, onto physical products such as mugs, ornaments, and t-shirts. SVG files are known for their ability to maintain crisp quality at any size, making them ideal for resizing images without losing clarity. Creating themed bundles of SVGs is a great strategy to attract this audience, with popular themes including professions, animals, coffee, text designs, and holiday bundles.
Engaged couples are willing to invest in high-quality digital products for their special events like weddings, bridal showers, and more. Etsy sellers targeting this audience should focus on offering unique designs in multiple colors and themes to cater to their preferences. It's important not to underprice products in this category, as quality is a top priority for engaged couples looking for personalized and memorable items for their celebrations.
Small business owners, particularly those in industries like real estate, are a lucrative audience for Etsy sellers. By creating bundles of digital products such as Canva templates for realtors, sellers can provide maximum value and set higher price points for their offerings. Website templates, social media posts, and customizable Instagram templates are popular products within this category, offering opportunities for Etsy sellers to tap into various business niches.
Parents are constantly seeking unique digital products to celebrate milestones and events for their children. Etsy sellers can cater to this audience by offering products like baby shower invites, birthday invitations, and wall art for kids' rooms. Creating multiple versions of designs in trending colors and themes can help maximize profits while providing parents with aesthetically pleasing and shareable products for their children.
With the rise of online coaching and course creation, there is a growing demand for digital products to support these businesses. Etsy sellers can target course creators and coaches by offering products like onboarding paperwork, how-to eBooks, mockups, and marketing templates. These products fill a niche for creators who may excel in teaching but need support in creating visually appealing graphics and materials for their courses.
Finally and ironically, are Etsy sellers themselves who form a unique audience for digital products on the platform. By catering to fellow Etsy sellers with products like shop guides, notion templates, planners, branding kits, and more, sellers can tap into a supportive community that understands the value of digital products. Bundling specific templates designed for Etsy sellers and offering comprehensive guides can help stand out in this market.
Hopefully you found these helpful and just remember, these are only seven, there are hundreds of profitable audiences to sell to on Etsy so just get out there and start researching!
