There are so many special moments and memories to record before a baby comes:
How did you find out that you were pregnant?
What cravings did you have in each trimester?
What were all the names that you considered?
Who came with you to ultrasound appointments?
What were your thoughts and emotions throughout the pregnancy?
You can make a digital journal or one that expecting mothers can print out and bind together themselves. Break it down into trimesters and weeks. Create journal prompts and spaces to record all of the little details that will be forgotten years later.
If you eventually create a baby book as well, you can sell these together as a bundle at a higher price point.
Chore charts are so fun and there are endless possibilities for creation! You can create printable PDF chore charts or make a customizable chore chart that can be updated in Canva.
Think about different age groups. Chore charts can work for toddlers through teenagers, with different kinds of chores listed for each.
Visually, you can make chore charts that are more bright and colorful or classy and subdued.
Think about if the kids will check things off on their own or if the parent will do that part. If a toddler will be checking things off on their own chore chart, the boxes need to be bigger than if an adult will do it.
Make it easy for new parents to announce their pregnancy on social media with super cute digital pregnancy announcements.
These can either be custom, where you input the information and send it back to the customer, or “edit yourself” where the customer can customize it themselves in Canva.
There are endless styles you can create these in. It can be gender-neutral or not. Think of different color schemes, styles (floral, boho, stripes, plaid), and even careers. If one of the parents is a firefighter, they might love a firefighter-themed birth announcement.
I feel like every mom could use meal planning assistance, amiright?! You can create fairly simple PDF printables or more complicated meal-planning spreadsheets if you’re handy with Google Sheets.
If you want to add more features, you can include pages for:
Grocery lists
Special holiday meals
Calendars
And it doesn’t have to be just dinner. Make sure there are spaces to plan snacks, breakfasts, lunches, and desserts too!
This is the perfect digital product to add to a full “home organization” bundle.
Speaking of products to add to a home organization bundle, a budget spreadsheet is a perfect choice for that as well.
Everyone likes to do their budgeting a bit differently. This is why there is plenty of room for bunches of budget spreadsheets on Etsy! They’re all slightly different and that’s a good thing.
Target your budget spreadsheet to moms. Think of the features that moms would most want and benefit from and market it for them. You can hire help creating a budget spreadsheet if Google Sheets is not your strength.
Affirmations cards are having a moment right now. You can create printable affirmation cards specifically for moms as well as for varying ages of kiddos.
Each set can have a different theme in terms of content and styling. Get specific! You could create body positivity cards for middle school girls. Or cards to help new moms adjust to that big life change.
Provide printing recommendations so that people know their options if they want to have physical versions of the cards.
Ok, you know we had to add coloring pages to this list, right? Who doesn’t love coloring pages?!
You can create coloring pages for moms as well as kids. And what about a set of coloring pages that are meant for moms and kids to do together? A more complicated version of the same image as the kid is doing for the mom. How fun would that be?
Coloring pages can be of simple images as well as inspirational quotes. You could even provide custom coloring pages that have a kid’s name the color in.
Or think about coloring pages that would make great gifts. You could create a coloring page that is meant for a toddler to color in and give to their auntie or nana.
Moms make up a huge percentage of the buyers on Etsy! Use this knowledge to your advantage and create digital products specifically for moms.
I hope this list gave you some ideas to get you going. What will you create first?
