Creative Fabrica (CF) is a popular subscription-based online marketplace for digital product creators. It’s one of my favorite services, especially as someone who didn’t start making digital products with any background in graphic design.

With a CF subscription, you can access so many benefits and save yourself time with premade elements and artwork. This service is also a great way to overcome any insecurity you may have about your design skills as you’re purchasing elements, artwork, fonts, and more that are designed by people with talent and education in these spheres - all of this leaves you with more time to perfect your digital products, list them, and start reaping the rewards. 

Keep reading for my breakdown of the top six benefits of Creative Fabrica for digital product creators and how you can use these features to improve your digital product sales.

Fonts can easily make or break a digital product, especially a product like a printable planner, bookmark, or invitation.

Another fantastic way to speed up your digital product creation and get over any initial anxiety about designing digital products is using a pre-made template. 

I use Canva for many digital product designs because it’s user-friendly and has a great selection of editing tools. If you’re interested in selling printables or editable templates, consider purchasing one with a commercial license from Creative Fabrica first, then customizing it and giving it a unique look. Then, you can list this on Etsy as your own product. 

If you’re new to design or want to speed up your creative process, buying an inexpensive template can save you a lot of time and provide extra inspiration for your product creation. 

An example of a pre-made, editable Canva template that you could transform into many unique products, such as individual wedding printables or a cumulative planner with a unique design. You can add and subtract pages as you wish to create your perfect planner product.  

Graphics and Elements

One of the most significant benefits of using Creative Fabrica as a digital product creator is the huge library of graphics and elements. 

For example, you can purchase many commercial-use, high-quality PNG images (images with transparent backgrounds). From there, you can import these images into your digital product editor, like Canva, and add them to your products.

Something that I personally love about Creative Fabrica is its versatility. The platform caters to many niches, industries, and aesthetics, so it’s nearly impossible not to find assets suitable for your digital products. 

Another bonus is that many design assets on CF can be easily customizable, from the previously mentioned Canva templates to customizable clipart. Again, this gives you more control over your final product's appearance, allowing you to brand your product better and make it stand out from the competition. 

Courses

Creative Fabrica’s community of experienced designers and crafters share online craft courses to help you learn new skills. If you are an All Access subscriber, you receive access to all craft classes as part of your subscription. 

As a digital product creator, Creative Fabrica’s classes are a lifeline. You can take classes in many categories, including graphic design, illustration, photography, organizing and planning, drawing, and business. 

You can even find classes on critical digital product tools like Canva, which is fantastic since many digital product creators (myself included!) don’t come from a design background. 

The class catalog is constantly updated with new offerings that share trendy and seasonal topics. I also like how all the classes are labeled by difficulty levels, such as “Beginner” and “Intermediate,” so you can choose easier or more challenging courses based on your current skill set. 

The Ideas Section and Blog

Another great CF use is its ideas section, which is sorted into seasonal and holiday sections. The ideas tab is a gold mine for a digital product creator who is feeling uninspired. Browse through this section to be inspired by a plethora of unique, charming designs divided into different categories. 

Creative Fabrica also has a blog with articles sharing detailed tutorials and idea roundups for different crafts and digital creations. I recommend using this to brainstorm ideas for your Etsy shop whenever you’re feeling stuck or planning products for upcoming holidays. 

How Much Does Creative Fabrica Cost?

With this massive number of benefits, you may wonder how much access to all of this will cost you. Creative Fabrica offers several pricing plans, including several more affordable options for creators needing resources at a more reasonable price point. 

Of course, you can always purchase one asset at a time. However, I recommend against this because you’ll likely need a handful of assets each month, so a subscription is often more cost-effective. 

Here are CF’s subscription options: 

• Graphics: This subscription is currently $19 a month and allows you to choose from nearly eight million designs with a commercial license. New graphics are added daily, so this is an excellent choice if you are a digital product designer interested in creating illustrations, patterns, logos, templates, and more. 

• Fonts: If your digital products heavily depend on fonts, this is an incredible $19 monthly subscription to consider. This plan is best for those creating printables, wall art, digital planners or journals, and other paper-based products. It gives you access to over 145,000 fonts with a commercial license. Like the other sections of CF’s website, new fonts are added daily, providing you with continual new fonts to work with. 

• Crafts: This subscription is $12 a month and gives you access to cut files and the craft club. Of all CF’s subscriptions, this is probably the least helpful for digital product creators and better for crafty hobbyists. 

• All Access: My preferred CF subscription at $4.99 per month (if you pay for the year) This is amazing at about $59  - the all-access plan gives you access to all graphic assets, cut files, embroidery designs, and fonts with a commercial license. You also receive access to the craft club. Most digital product creators can benefit from both graphics and fonts, so I recommend this subscription as an all encompassing pass to everything. 

I strongly recommend shopping CF's design bundles if you purchase assets one at a time rather than subscribing to the platform. These bundles of design assets are often sold at a discounted price. In addition, they are more cost-effective for digital product creators, especially when you need a larger variety of resources to make a handful of products. 

Lastly, I strongly recommend checking out CF’s freebies for crafters and designers. They frequently offer many unique, high-quality assets for free and with an included commercial license. Many freebies are time-sensitive, so check this page often to see what is new. 

Final Thoughts: User Experience

Creative Fabrica is an excellent tool for digital product designers. It’s an affordable platform, especially if you take advantage of your subscription and download many assets each month (it won’t take long to recoup your investment!). 

Not only are the assets curated by Creative Fabrica to ensure they are high-quality, but the platform has a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to find and download the perfect design assets, even if you have limited design experience.
